Exclusive to The Wool Company. These seconds are very large natural, undyed creamy white Merino sheepskin throws, shorn down to 25mm to create an immensely dense, supportive, and super-soft rug. 

The rugs chosen for this product are extremely high-quality but have been downgraded to seconds due to either discoloration or small blemishes, or possibly a small bald patch. they are the 'raw' material that, if perfect would become our 'exclusive throws'  as an example.

Merino sheep are bred for their exceptional fleeces, not for meat. They live free-range and graze over vast distances, virtually wild, in North America, Australia, and New Zealand. They produce the most luxurious of all wools in the world - very dense, soft, and fine.

These sheepskins are utterly dreamy to sit or lie on, a favourite chair will be transformed! 

If you are looking for a medical sheepskin for convalescence or for patients who require extended hospital stays or bed rest; there is nothing better to prevent bedsores. The fleece is so dense, that their skin has constant air circulating, stopping sweat and moisture build-up that lead to bacteria multiplying, creating bedsores. 

We have had so many customers tell us how the sheepskin had been extremely important to family members, with 'almost instant' relief from discomfort. 

Some of the sheepskins have a 'bunched' finish, some have a smooth finish, but all are stunningly soft and supportive. 

Average size: 115 x 79 cm but can vary between 100-120 cm long, and 70-110 cm wide

Care- Spot clean or machine wash if needed at 30c on a wool program using wool-recommended detergent. Allow to dry naturally.
